Jal Neti – Jal Neti is a method for purifying the nostrils and sinuses. The main aim of Jal Neti is to purify and cleanse the entire Upper Respiratory Tract right from the nostrils to the throat using lukewarm saline water. It involves pouring water in one nostril and flushing it out from the other nostril with the help of neti pot.
Rubber Neti – Rubber neti is a nasal cleansing yogic procedure in which the nasal area and outer respiratory regions are decongested.
Diet – An important component of a comprehensive naturopathic healthcare plan. Food is regarded as medicine in many systems of medicine but this is more obvious and apparent in Naturopathy. Naturopathy promotes and encourages the natural food, i.e., the food which is provided by nature and is consumed essentially in the natural form. The concept of diet is little different in modern medicine. In Naturopathy food is classified as acidic or alkaline, live or dead food, eliminative, soothing, constructive, vegetarian or non-vegetarian, liquid, fruit, and mono fruit diet, etc. Naturopathy gives more emphasis on raw food rather than cooked food. According to it, to remain healthy 80 % of the food items should be alkaline, i.e., uncooked and only 20 % food items should be acidic, i.e., cooked. In Yoga, the food is classified as Sattvik, Rajasik and Tamasik.
Acupressure – An ancient Indian healing art that’s based on the traditional Indian medicine practice of acupuncture. With acupressure, you put pressure on specific places on your body. These places are called acupoints. Pressing these points can help release muscle tension and promote blood circulation. It can also relieve many common side effects of chemotherapy.
Acupressure is an alternative medicine technique often used in conjunction with acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through “meridians” in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points or ashi trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Pressure may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices.
